Orlando — Thanks to the generous support of the S’Firot Grant, the Jewish Pavilion Senior Services continues to enrich the lives of seniors across Central Florida with meaningful cultural programming.
One of the newest initiatives, “Passport to Jewish Culture: Yiddish with Rabbi Yanky Majeski,” transported residents into the vibrant world of the Yiddish language through laughter, music, and shared memories. The program is part of a broader effort to celebrate Jewish heritage and provide seniors with engaging experiences that foster joy and community.
The S’Firot Grant, subtitled A World of Jewish Joy, enables the Pavilion to expand its reach with creative cultural programs that highlight Jewish traditions, strengthen intergenerational connections, and bring happiness to older adults living in senior facilities.
Organizers emphasize that these programs are not only about education but also about emotional well‑being, offering seniors opportunities to reconnect with their roots and participate in Jewish life even within assisted living communities.
Community leaders praised the initiative as a model of how targeted grants can revitalize Jewish culture and ensure that seniors remain active participants in the Jewish story.
