More than 250 women gathered at the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum in Palm Beach on March 23 for Palm Beach Synagogue’s annual Women’s Spa for the Soul luncheon.
The program included docent-led tours of the museum and a presentation, “Jewish Women Through the Ages,” in the historic Gilded Age mansion.
Amanda Skier, director and CEO of the Flagler Museum and former president and CEO of the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach, gave a presentation titled “It All Happened at Whitehall: Bridging the Past and Present of Jewish Culture in Palm Beach,” sharing a largely untold history of the island’s Jewish community.
Psychotherapist and «Stories of Hope» podcast host Tziporah Grodko also spoke, offering reflections on resilience and faith in her talk, «The Power of Faith: Resilience and the Jewish Spirit.»
The luncheon included recognition of Community Leadership Award honorees Joy Lavin and Carol Rydell, as well as musical performances, a meal and a cappuccino-and-raw-juice bar.
Palm Beach Synagogue Rabbi Moshe Scheiner said the annual Spa for the Soul event provided a meaningful opportunity for guests to come together during the active winter season.
«The event reflected the warmth, unity, and spirit of Palm Beach Synagogue’s women, offering not only a moment of pause during a busy season, but also an opportunity to reflect, reconnect, and be inspired,» he said.
