Authorities in Miami‑Dade County reported that a police pursuit on Wednesday afternoon ended with a violent rollover crash near Northwest 27th Avenue and 119th Street, following an alleged kidnapping incident.
According to Telemundo 51, the chase began when officers responded to reports of a woman being forced into a vehicle against her will. The suspect fled at high speed through residential areas, pursued by multiple patrol units. The pursuit came to a sudden end when the vehicle lost control and overturned, scattering debris across the roadway.
Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene, rescuing the occupants from the wreckage. The woman was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, while the suspect was detained and is expected to face kidnapping and reckless‑driving charges.
Traffic in the area was temporarily closed as investigators examined the crash site and collected evidence. Witnesses described the scene as “chaotic,” with sirens, helicopters, and police vehicles converging on the intersection.
The Miami‑Dade Police Department has not yet released the names of those involved but confirmed that the investigation remains active.
