The day will also be windy, with gusts reaching 25 to 30 mph, raising concerns for beachgoers. The UV index is extreme, and officials warn of a dangerous high risk of rip currents along the Atlantic coastline, making swimming unsafe.
Wildfire activity is also being monitored:
- The Mile Marker 44 Fire in western Broward County has burned more than 1,200 acres and is 60% contained.
- The Boystown Fire near Miami Executive Airport has scorched 24 acres and is under control.
Air quality remains good, but smoke may drift westward due to the strong onshore winds.
