Student members of Alpha Epsilon Pi International Fraternity (AEPi) came together this May for the organization’s inaugural Month of Giving, raising $132,136 to support charitable causes. The initiative mobilized undergraduate brothers, alumni, families, and supporters, highlighting the fraternity’s role in strengthening Jewish communities and promoting service.
The campaign featured creative fundraising events across campuses. At the University of Miami, brothers led efforts with a campus‑wide Rock‑A‑Thon, generating nearly $70,000 for Gift of Life, a nonprofit dedicated to saving lives through bone marrow and stem cell donations. Other chapters at Florida Atlantic University, The Ohio State University, University of South Florida, William & Mary, Appalachian State University, and Wake Forest also organized significant drives.
In total, nearly 100 chapters participated, either raising funds or committing to local service projects. The fraternity emphasized that the campaign was about more than money—it was about showing up for communities, living Jewish values, and demonstrating the positive impact of Jewish students and alumni.
AEPi CEO Rob Derdiger praised the effort, noting that Jewish students face difficult moments on campuses today. “Our brothers showed that doing good is not just part of who we are; it is one of the clearest ways we can live our values, strengthen our communities, and demonstrate the positive impact Jewish students and alumni make every day,” he said.
Founded in 1913 and international since 1948, AEPi now operates on nearly 190 campuses worldwide, fulfilling its mission to develop future Jewish leaders through brotherhood, tzedakah, social awareness, and support for Israel.
