Tesla Eyes Miami Gardens Warehouse for Major EV Repair Center

Miami Gardens — Tesla is preparing to transform a low‑profile warehouse in Sunshine State Industrial Park into one of its largest collision and EV repair hubs in Florida.

According to city records, the proposal covers 64,059 square feet and includes 26 internal repair bays dedicated to electric vehicle diagnostics, bodywork, and battery‑era repairs. The plan involves reconfiguring the interior of the existing industrial building rather than constructing a new facility.

Commercial listings show the warehouse has long been marketed as a 65,000‑square‑foot industrial space, aligning with Tesla’s footprint. The retrofit would allow Tesla to expand its South Florida service network, which already includes a Miami Gardens service and delivery center and a Kendall showroom and service project.

Industry experts note that EV collision repair requires specialized diagnostic equipment, high‑voltage safety protocols, and factory‑approved parts. By centralizing these resources, Tesla aims to shorten repair turnaround times and ensure that South Florida drivers have access to factory‑trained technicians.

The project remains in the early permit phase, subject to city and county approvals, inspections, and public‑notice processes. If approved, construction would begin later this year.
