Jewish Mayors and Municipal Leaders Form National Association to Confront Antisemitism and Strengthen Communities

The Combat Antisemitism Movement has created the Jewish Mayors and Municipal Leaders Association, inaugurated at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. The initiative seeks to connect Jewish elected officials across the United States, enabling them to exchange resources, coordinate strategies, and address challenges in public safety, extremism prevention, and civic resilience.

Founding Leadership

• Steven Meiner, mayor of Miami Beach, serves as founding chair.
• Attendees included Miami‑Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Aventura Mayor Howard Weinberg, Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D‑Fla.), former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer, and former Florida Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez.

The proclamation, signed by 20 leaders, underscores that Jewish historical experience—marked by exclusion and scapegoating—drives their determination to ensure inclusive governance for all residents, regardless of background or faith.
