JCS Announces 2021-2022 Board Officers and New Board Member

Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) welcomes new board member Yolanda Valencia and congratulates the Officers of the JCS Board of Directors: Jonathan Raiffe, Board Chair; Scott Singer, Chair-Elect; Mitch Morris, Vice-Chair; Gil Bonwitt, Treasurer; and Liliane Fuhrman, Secretary.


MIAMI, Nov. 2, 2021 – Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) is pleased to announce new JCS Board Member Yolanda Valencia, and congratulates the Officers of the JCS Board of Directors: Jonathan Raiffe, Board Chair; Scott Singer, Chair-Elect; Mitch Morris, Vice-Chair; Gil Bonwitt, Treasurer; and Liliane Fuhrman, Secretary.

As Head of Human Resources and Corporate Philanthropy for Galleria Farms, Yolanda Valencia has a deep and caring interest in enhancing opportunities and quality of life for children, seniors, and veterans. Additionally, Yolanda is a community philanthropist with a long and distinguished record of advocacy for social services. Among her many civic and community-minded activities, she served as a member of the former Switchboard of Miami that is now recognized and known as JCS’ 211 Miami.

Scott Singer, the incoming Chair-Elect has been involved with the JCS Board as a Board member, Executive Committee member, as well as Secretary, and Treasurer. He is President of Insider Career Strategies LLC, a career advisory and outplacement services firm. Prior to this, he worked in the area of human resources with corporations such as Bacardi and Burger King.

“Yolanda’s passion for philanthropy, strategic business expertise and caring heart will bring a fresh perspective to our Board as we continue to provide essential services in support of our clients in our vibrant and diverse South Florida community,” said Jonathan Raiffe, who serves as the current JCS Board Chair. “Scott’s strong leadership and personal skills have guided JCS for over a decade.  I am excited that he will continue to provide his time and energy to support our JCS mission and values.”
