The annual GiveMiamiDay.org event unfolded in 2012, bringing together a diverse array of organizations united by a shared commitment to make a positive impact. As the idea dawned, these organizations, each with a distinct mission, eagerly embraced the digital platform to amplify their causes.
From education to social welfare, each organization showcased its unique contribution to the community. Supporters, fueled by the spirit of communal giving, clicked their way through the GiveMiamiDay.org website, transforming virtual transactions into real-world impact.
As the virtual clock ticked, the city’s generosity shone through the online platform, creating a digital tapestry of compassion and philanthropy. The synergy of these organizations showcased the power of collective giving, proving that when united, they could achieve more than ever imagined.
This year more than 1200 non-profits from across Miami-Dade county are participating, with 36 of them being Jewish. Some of the original Jewish participants include Greater Miami Jewish Federation, Jewish Family Services and Chabad.
And so, as #GiveMiamiDay 2023 unfolds as a modern-day tale of online giving, where the threads of digital generosity wove together to create a narrative of hope and positive change for the dynamic city of Miami.
Let’s come together as a community to fuel these good organizations. Mark you calendars for Thursday, Nov 16 and head over to GiveMiamiDay.org. Be bold. Be generous!
