Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the Florida Legislature will be called back for a second special session in May.
The property insurance session will be the second special session called by DeSantis this year. The governor said he will sign a proclamation this week with more specifics — the same week the Legislature will meet for a special session on congressional redistricting.
DeSantis, speaking Monday at a news conference in Jacksonville, said he hoped to “bring some sanity and stabilize” the property insurance market.
