Florida Porsche Dealership Co-Owner Resigns After Vile Remark to Jewish Customer

A co-owner of Champion Motorsports/Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach, Florida has reportedly resigned after allegedly sending an antisemitic text message to a customer who decided to purchase from another dealership.

According to BocaNewsNow.com, Naveen Maraj allegedly wrote to potential customer John Wolff: “But as usual you behave like a spoiled Jew c— who thinks you’re special but you’re not. You not buying a car from me is like a gift from god.”Stay informed with JBN email alerts! Get the latest updates on breaking stories, global events, and community news directly in your inbox.

However, Wolff disputed this characterization, telling the news agency that he and Maraj hadn’t spoken in six years and that it was “absurd” to suggest such language would be acceptable in their relationship.

Champion General Manager Mike Peters confirmed Maraj’s resignation in a statement, calling the comments “offensive and inexcusable.” Peters claimed the remarks occurred within the context of a “close personal friendship” spanning 14 years that included “casual banter and familiarity.”

StopAntiSemitism quickly condemned the hateful remarks by writing on X: “This shocking display of antisemitism has no place in business and we urge clients to shop elsewhere.”

Florida has experienced a mixed picture regarding antisemitic incidents in recent months. According to the Anti-Defamation League’s annual audit released in April 2025, while the state saw a 24% decrease in incidents in 2024 (353 incidents, down from 463 in 2023), these numbers still represent a troubling 277% increase compared to 2020 levels.

Palm Beach County continues to lead Florida in antisemitic incidents for the second consecutive year, followed by Miami-Dade and Broward counties. However, the ADL has noted concerning increases in other parts of the state, including Hillsborough, Duval, and Lee counties.

Florida currently ranks seventh nationwide for antisemitic incidents, behind states with Jewish populations like New York and California. ADL Florida Regional Director Daniel Frank has described the situation as a “disturbing trend,” adding that “the significant rise in Israel-related antisemitic activity highlights the formidable challenges faced by Jewish communities throughout our state.”
