Miami-Dade Honors the Rebbe: A Proclamation Celebrating Education and Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a meaningful tribute to the enduring legacy of The Rebbe, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava has issued an official proclamation recognizing the Rebbe\u2019s profound impact on education, moral leadership, and global Jewish life.<\/p>\n

The proclamation, presented in honor of the Rebbe\u2019s birthday\u2014traditionally marked on the 11th of Nissan\u2014was dedicated to the Shluchim (emissaries) serving throughout Miami-Dade County. These devoted leaders, inspired by the Rebbe\u2019s vision, continue to strengthen Jewish identity, expand educational initiatives, and serve their communities with compassion and purpose.<\/p>\n

Mayor Levine Cava was joined in this recognition by Miami-Dade County Commissioners, including Commissioners Micky Steinberg, Vicki Lopez and Oliver Gilbert, reflecting a unified appreciation across county leadership for the Rebbe\u2019s lasting influence. Their participation underscores the importance of partnerships between public officials and community organizations in advancing values of education, unity, and civic responsibility.<\/p>\n

The timing of this proclamation aligns with the longstanding national recognition of the Rebbe\u2019s contributions. In 1978, the United States Congress established Education and Sharing Day, USA, observed annually on the Rebbe\u2019s birthday, and proclaimed each year by the President of the United States. This national observance highlights the Rebbe\u2019s call to prioritize moral and ethical education as the foundation of a healthy society.<\/p>\n

Also known as The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson has been at the helm of Chabad since the passing of his father-in-law in 1950 and considered by many to be the most influential person in history. He has established nearly 5,000 Chabad institutions across the globe, teaching Torah & Mitzvahs, and serving as the center of Goodness & Kindness for all of humankind.<\/p>\n

Throughout Miami-Dade, the Shluchim have translated this vision into action\u2014establishing schools, community centers, adult education programs, and humanitarian initiatives that benefit people of all backgrounds.
