Florida Kosher Meal Program sent out the following notice this afternoon. Although they didn’t say so explicitly, it seems they’re suggesting that people call the city to voice their concerns..
We are sorry to inform you that at the direction of the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) – Dania Beach Division, The City of Dania Beach has revoked our permit to distribute food at this site. Therefore, this week’s distribution has been canceled. We are just as baffled as you are. We have resubmitted a permit application for this site and continue to search for new locations. Providing meals to school aged children is our number one goal and we are hoping BSO will work alongside us to get this resolved in the very near future.
Please be respectful of the neighbors and do not linger at this site, as it creates unnecessary traffic on Griffin Rd.
