Brightline’s Miami-Orlando Route: Mark Your Calendar for the Grand Opening

Get Ready to Experience Walt Disney World via Brightline Train: Orlando Station Opening on Sept. 22!

If you’ve been eager to embark on a magical journey to Walt Disney World aboard Brightline, it’s time to mark your calendars. After weeks of uncertainty and a brief delay, Brightline’s Orlando station is all set to welcome its first visitors on September 22, as confirmed by an official email from the train company. Originally slated for a September 1 debut, the station’s unveiling was postponed.

The inauguration of the Orlando station marks a significant expansion of the rail route, extending northward from South Florida. Brightline’s already established stations include Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach.

Despite the delay, the Miami Herald reports that the first available tickets to Orlando are for September 22. One-way tickets from Miami to Orlando are now available at prices ranging from just $79 to $309 for premium class. Moreover, groups of four or more will enjoy an automatic 25% discount on their bookings, as per a recent company email.

It’s worth noting that Brightline stations have encountered delays in the past. The Orlando station, for instance, faced two postponements, first moving from September 1 to September 15 and now confirming its opening for September 22. Similarly, in December, Brightline’s Aventura station experienced delays due to pending elevator permits, showcasing the challenges of launching new stations along the route.
