Brightline expects to begin service from South Florida to Orlando soon

Get ready for hassle-free trips to Florida’s theme park hub.

High-speed rail service Brightline is targeting between April and June to open its new, 170-mile segment to Orlando International Airport.

The stretch will offer a one-seat ride from Miami to near Disney World, with stops in Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Boca Raton.

Brightline riders can register for “early access tickets.” A precise starting date is pending.

“We’re more than 90% complete with construction,” Ben Porritt, senior vice president of corporate communications, told the Sun-Sentinel, “but there are a number of factors that will determine the exact date.”
