Joseph Goldman

Joseph Goldman, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed on August 23, 2026 at the age of 93.

Joe was born in the Bronx, the proud son of Rabbi Israel and Mrs. Hinda Basha Goldman. He worked many years in the New York City and South Florida public schools as a speech pathologist, where he was loved by all his students. Joe was also a well respected and talented cantor-chazzan and served at number of congregations. In later years he taught Yiddish at the Jewish Community Center, where he joyfully shared his great love of the ‘Mama Lashon’ and Jewish world in general.

Joe married his beautiful wife Arline when he was a young cantor & together they raised 3 daughters. He was a very proud, devoted & exceptionally loving father to his 3 girls.

Joe was known for his warmth, love, kindness & humor. He loved his family deeply, and they adored & cherished him!

Joe leaves his two daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Larry Pomeranc and Sheri and Rabbi Howard Bald, and son-in-law, Austin Frye and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Arline and his daughter Heidi Frye.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A chapel service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Memorial Chapel, 3201 N. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33024. Under the direction of Levitt-Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel (305) 932-2700.
